**another year that Ranger fans think they will be Cup favorites and another year reality says different...this is just not a good enough team...they have a great pair of D with Girardi and McDonaugh and Staal is good but a question with injuries..they have Nash and not much more offensively and they still have Lundquist who will be hampered by the pads being shrunk..... so even though the fans are all pumped reality says there is a reason this cursed franchise has 1 Cup in 74 years....

**As a Rangers fan I actually wasn't that surprised last night? It's the first time this year all the pieces have been put in place for one game so will take time to gel I would guess? Our D looked poor and too many mistakes but hey it's the first game? I like AV's system although do worry about overloading towards the net we will get caught out if not careful.
I like how straight away on twitter so called Rangers fans call for Av's head? surely we enjoyed the open play minus the mistakes more than under Torts no? no?

**Rangers will have a tough 20 first games to get used to the system, same with the canucks.  Both teams will have a rough first 20 games to get the new systems in place, both systems are vastly different, it was to be expected that this will happen to the teams at the beginning.
Watch, after about 15 games you'll see both canucks and rangers start o vastly improve.

**forget the new system the Rangers need new players... they lack any offense behind Nash..their D is solid and Lundquist is great (but his pads are a lot smaller and it will affect him)... they are a borderline playoff team and that's strictly because of Lundquist in the net...Nash will have trouble because he has no help..

**yes, because no goalie every gave up 4 in a game before right, only 1 goal that game was henriks fault and that was the third goal, the first 2 were good goals, the third henrik should have had and the fourth was completely the defense's fault.
Watch the game before just looking at the score to diss one of the best goaltenders in the game.

**You got me wrong mate, I never said that Henrik was bad goalie. I said he might not be a Vezina contender this season because of the new system... It's never a goalies fault if the team in front of him plays bad. Sometimes goalies have bad days too, like (undoubtedly equally as good as Henrik) Rinne had last night. The joke I made was meant to those Henkke-above-all-worshippers! Like i said, it's just a one game and time will tell.
