**Indded just 3 games, but what about those 2 referees? The rules on those kind of hits are clear but these 2 refs didn't know or don't agree with the rules on hits like this one. And what would have happened if this was one of the Sedin sisters? I guess there woukld have been a call and if not there would have been a brawl with Bieksa leading the group of fighters. The NHL should have suspended these referees too, it would make clear to the that there is no escape on these kind of plays without punishment. Edler got 3 games ( a bit low), but those who didn't do nothing come away with nothing. The NHL and owners are clear on those kind of hits, but still there are refs that allow it. The NHL referees roster should be larger and the NHL should starting to punisch refs to, thge same way players get fined and suspended. Its clear that isn't allowed and when referees still turn the otherside, these kind of hits will have a place in the NHL. The game should be saver and skilled players should be kept in the league, hits like this will or end careers early or make players turn there back on the NHL and go to a saver league in Europe.

**Loaded with fools maybe? If the Canucks fi9nd this ma check that isn't dirty mhowe whould the have responded when this was a hit on 1 of those Sedin sisters? I would bet that Tortarella would have put his 4th line on the ice when the Sharks would have there skilled ownes? And what would have happended? Or there weould have been a fight or a 4th-liner wouyld be aske4d head hunting the way Edler did? What Edler did was a act of a fool that could have resulted in a even dirty hit on one of his teammates and i would guess that the would thake a small guy too. What would Tortarella have done when a playere of him got hit like Hertl? In NY the know!!! Edler is for me a coward, he would hit a forth-linerr not this way. For sure he would go level with 5 guys above him!!

**Another good game for my Sharks. Glad to get a win against a tough team like the Canucks. As for that hit. It's sickening that people can actually convince themselves that Edlers hit was legal and not a head shot. They will come up with some ridiculous explanation as to why it was completely legal and Hertl was in the wrong for putting himself into the vulnerable position. My point is I don't want to see any teams players getting ran with cheap head shots. Glad Hertl is okay and I will let Edler deal with whatever comes of this. I will be content if he receives nothing. Also wanted to compliment the Canucks on a great PK tonight. Very solid and limited shots and zone time.

**Yeah, that's true. It's just that you guys are becoming the team to beat, and you seem like a nice Shark fan, but most I ever run into I do cannot stand.

**oh come on, hertl was fine and will learn to keep his head up. Edlers arm was directly by his side, he was playing the puck, hockeys a physical sport. That being said, tremendous respect for the skill and depth of the sharks

**Hertl decided to mess with everyone who made room for them on their fantasy hockey league tonight... I counted 4 solid scoring chances for him. 3 nice saves by Luongo, and one missed puck that would have been a goal if Hertl could have got his stick on it. The kid seems to be amazing at timing the breakout on the blue lines. When it's a 50-50 puck and him and the defender get their at the same time, somehow he gets the defender on his back and shields him. Supposedly he wasn't drafted higher because he is a bad skater...Not seeing that.

**Thats why the hired a coach who is known with getting fired!!! How long must be the losing streak to see Tortarella getting fired? 5 or 6 games? Tortarella is always be loved, except whern his team starts losing and the Canucks will lose more games every year. Where others teams in the west get better, the Canucks are standing still. I would not be surprise if making th playoffs will be already a hard job for Tortarella. The last 2 or 3 seasons more teams in ther west got better and the Canucks didn't. Infact the have a roster that have hardly changed the last years and it will finaly hurt.

**Canucks goes to playoffs like the Sharks. Two great teams. It's a normal result. Not a reason to Vancouver fans worrie about.

**Yes, it's Edler's fault that he is taller than Hertl and that Hertl put himself in a vulnerable position by reaching forward when Edler was skating in a straight line for a few seconds prior to the hit. Edler doesn't chicken wing, Hertl ran into Edler like a bird running into a window. Edler was going for the puck and clearly isn't targeting the head. Oh, and Hertl isn't injured. No supplementary discipline. Thanks for the troll post though He made no contact to the head. And for the record the puck was so the hit was legit whether he goes for the puck after the hit or not is irrelevant imo Yeahhhh that didn't make contact with his head. Hertl needs to strap his helmet on tighter.

**Except he ignored the puck completely and went straight for the head. This is the same guy that took out Eric Staal with a dirty knee-on-knee. Edler gets 20 games, wait and see.
