**even though my Habs lost, it was a close game and I commend the Preds on a job well done. Jones is beast mode, then you pair him with Weber? You guys trying to make people shake in their skates or something? I'm truly loving the line of Gallagher, Galchenyuk, and Eller (not in that order obviously). Youth, speed, skill, strong work ethic. They scored our only goal, put most pucks on net, and could have scored more had it not been for Rinne between the pipes. Oh well. Glad Price still managed to continue putting up those numbers of saves. It'll help his confidence moving forward, especially with the Olympics coming...guess that's our proof as to why Price is our starter and not Budaj

**Habs fans complaining about the refs at the forum.Funny one maybe they feel guilty for the past. Showboater PK looked pretty soft on the effort for the game winning goal. And adds another embellishment to his resume,

**Please have an idea of what your talking about prior to making an attempt at formulating your half-a** opinion. The Habs haven't played at the Forum since 1998. The fans had a right to complain when the ref clearly points (repeatedly)at the net indicating a goal which video evidence returned an inconclusive mention which means the initial call is suppose to stand. As for PK, he won the Norris Trophy last year, if you don't find his skating from end to end impressive (don't need to like the player/team) guess your understanding of the game is even worse than first believe.

**Honestly a very bad game by my Habs. Diaz was awful, Subban was off, Markov was good. Price was good, but he was not exeptionnal (basically most the NSH shots were not very dangerous). We lost more players and our offense was totally lacking last game.I was very impressed by Jones, i didn't see him make any mistake and he played 27min. Great skating and great skills, very nice goal to finish the game. IMO he should have went first star.

**Simple fact : Weather the puck went in OR NOT.. the call on the ice SHOULD STAND if the refs dont have EVIDENCE That it didnt.. and they clearly didnt have evidence since they said they cant prove it went in..so if they call it a good goal, and then cant prove it is a good goal, but consequently cant call it no goal cause they dont see it, the call on the ice is supposed to STAND...right? No need to answer, answer is YES. Bad call by every ref or nhl representativ that had a word on it. With that being said, the preds played well and if we really deserved the win we would of not given those bad calls a chance to bring us down... Lets bounce back

**The call would have stood, IF the ref that called a goal, actually saw the puck. He did not, he did it out of anticipation. Your logic is so flawed, so basically what you are saying is even if it never went in, it should still be a goal. That's not fair. The problem with your's and everyone's argument on here, is that for some reason you actually believe that the ref that called it a goal, actually saw the puck.

**The rule states that for the call on the ice to be overturned, they must be able to prove the contrary.. if they cant prove on video either of them, the call should stand since it was the initial call by the ref on the ice.. they always say that for it to be overturned theh need to prove it otherwise. they didnt. Call stands

**If he initially said Good goal, he must have seen Something at least. Something that even if they cant see it on camera, the call he made As it was happening, by the guy who makes the calls, should stand cuz it cant be overturned with proof that the ref made a bad call On the play. The call that was made live should stand. I may be wrong but thats how i see it

**Was at the game tonight. No the refs were not bad. Other than that embellishment call, it was fine. However, Montreal was just fatigued beyond misery. Subban clearly didn't have a good night at Chez Parrée last night and struggled in the first two periods as did many players other than markov and price. Literally! Yes it's got a sour taste in our mouths when we lose and most of us Habs fans figured we had two points in the bank but give credit where credit is due. Preds played well. Gg

**you're a habs fan? stop lying... how were the refs not bad? blatantly ignored two head shots, took back a goal that they were not allowed to call back and called the habs for a penalty everytime they looked at a pred player the wrong way...

**Not a lot of positive thoughts concerning tonight's game. Once again, Montreal doesn't show up for two periods. History repeating? Or could it be that they're just not that strong? Whether it was a good or a bad call to wave off that goal, that's not why the Habs lost tonight. They lost for the same reasons that they could've lost against Winnipeg, Vancouver and Colombus, that is a getting dominated for the most part of the game and allowing too many shots to the opposition. The reality of it is that this team has been outplayed in Vancouver, Winnipeg and tonight for the better part of the games. We could also argue that the Blue Jackets deserved a better fate last thursday. In my opinion, Montreal won their last three for two reasons: they were opportunistic and Price saved the day. Every honest habs fan will admit that any one of those three games could've gone either way, even though the score didn't indicate it as such. I think that Carey Price's play is giving the impression that the team is better than what it really is. There's a lot of work to be done defensively (I know Emelin and Murray are injured) and we only have one line generating offense. I know t's really early, but I'm not sure the habs are playoff material if they continue to play the way they've been playing. I know I'm saying a lot of negative things, but the truth is that I'm a little disappointed since the beginning of the season. Am I being too hard? Maybe, I don't know. Oh well, let's hope for a convincing win on tuesday. Go habs go.

**i couldnt hate dale tallon more for not picking jones. i mean really what was he thinking? barkov hasnt made a move even anywhere near as nice as that and hes a forward. jones is a beast. he should play for team usa in a few months. i really love how he works. and man at least we couldve taken drouin. dudes gonna be an art ross winner at least twice in his career. something i feel is impossible for barkov as he really is invisible half the time hes out there and cant shoot or pass. hes just big and has gotten lucky so far on the scoresheet. nothing hes done has been pretty. i was hoping to see his shootout move tonight but luckily we didnt even need the third shooter cause huberdeau is just the best in the game at that. about the only thing we got goin

**This must have been the most boring game I've ever been to and I'm not saying that because the Habs lost. That said, well done Nashville, you guys were winning nearly every battle and fully deserved this win.

**You should learn the game, and actually pay attention while watching it There's more to it than flash. Barkov was a solid choice, and he's playing great. 6 points in 9 games, nearly 50% in the FO circle, he's blocking a few shots, he's got good size and uses it well along the boards, he covers defensively.....and he's officially the youngest player in the NHL.

**Ive never doubted Price's talent for a moment, its his ability to handle pressure in big games, or the playoffs that is still a huge question mark. Never mind the Olympic world stage.

**I really hope you aren't referring to our forwards though. They rarely show me anything. Our D-men are doing most of the work on both sides of the puck. We are still only averaging barely 2 goals per game. That's not going to be enough to get into the playoffs I'm afraid. I'd like to see a lot more production from our first 2 lines or else they need to make a trade to get a couple goal scorers.

**We do allow a lot of shots, but we're not really a defensive-minded team. We're more about speed and quick transition. We also have quite a few rookies/2nd year players and our seasoned defs are injured as we speak. 5-3 is a decent start, it's very important to get some key wins on the road early so when we finally get our regulars back, we won't have to be running uphill from that point on.

**Cold from lack of activity or not, Price HAS TO make that save late in the game. Montreal had 3 third period PP's and got 2 shots on goal....pathetic. The "kid" line with Gallagher was the only one putting any pressure on Nashville the entire 3rd period. Can the coach not see the lack of effort from the other players or does he just not care that they looked terrible on national T.V. on a Saturday prime time broadcast. I think the fitness level of Montreal is lacking as well. Most of their players were looking for an oxygen mask when they got back to the bench in that 3rd period. They ran out of gas in the last 10 minutes. Last point. Price cannot handle any kind of pressure or adversity. He generally doesn't play well in big games (just look at his record in the playoffs) and when having to face any kind of adversity, such as being cold from only having faced 4 shots in the 3rd period by the time Nashville scored the winning goal, he rarely responds well. I certainly hope that Steve Yzerman is taking notes. If Price somehow gets to play for the Olympic team we will be in BIG trouble.
