Getzlaf leads Ducks to seventh straight win
**That is exactly why Andersen is one of my favorite goalies at the moment. I was really hoping he'd get a chance to show his stuff. Also find it odd that there's no mention that he's the first Danish born goalie to play in the NHL.**So its National Backup Day or something? Every team but Winnipeg used their backup today haha
**I didn't see the game, but it seems strange that Andersen didn't let in a goal through two periods and gets the win, but no mention for a star. Hiller certainly couldn't be faulted on two of the Dallas goals, but Andersen kind of turned the game around for Anaheim.
**That hit on Penner was so wrong. We certainly don't need this in the game. The guy that hit him skated faster and hit Penner up high. It looked like charging too me. It was a dirty hit and it looked like it was on purpose. You have to see the hit.
**I think Campbell did good. I was waiting for his first game to happen. Well, I am sure he did not see it like that, but still, he did pretty good for a 6 goal game.
**For anyone that has seen swedish hockey, it's pretty ridiculous that Anaheim is playing Fasth over Andersen. They both played their 11/12 seasons in SHL and I saw lots of games with both. Andersen were significantly better, but when they both went to Anaheim at the same time; it was Fasth who got the shot. You can just look at the stats to see what I mean as well. Andersen played 39 games and had 1.67 GAA, 94.3% with 7 SO. Fasth were nowhere near that.
**Stop talking.. Andersen had a great season yes, but he played for a way better team and Fasth was carrying AIK on his shoulders.. Their was no doubt in anyones mind that Fasth was the best goalie during those years
**Dallas has some serious work to do. They give up way too many shots, the defense has been horrible, and they turn the puck over in their zone WAY to much. They are better than this
**Honestly dont think Garbutt is a dirty player, he should be suspended for that hit no question, but I think this type of play from the whole team happens when you cant play freakin defense and you get frustrated and do stupid things. This team is beyond frustrating, we look great and take down the undefeated sharks and then get blown out the next two games, make up your minds guys if your going to suk all year il just stop watching and save the heartbreak
**Dallas has some dirty players. Going head hunting and cross-checking the lower back and neck? And not getting calls for it? R u kidding me? All i know is that what ever happened during the 1st period woke up the Ducks. Good going Dallas! Karma just has a way of showing up when u least expect it to.
**I agree, last nights game was shocking to me in a sense that no calls were going against Dallas for the dirty plays on the ice. Hope Penner recovers soon, suspension coming right up. But good way to pull out a win ANA, keep on rolling!
**Didn't Perry just return from injury? Hope he's not out again for any period of time...that would be frustratingly unfortunate for the Ducks and Duck fans.
**Ducks continue to find great goaltending talent from Europe. The Flyers should not only fire their GM for the disaster moves he's made but also because he hasnt even tried finding unknown european goalies & give them a job instead of spending Millions$$$ on a FA one like Bryz. Ducks signed Hiller & Fasth when they were unknown. Drafted Andersen
**im not even trying to troll i have more respect for the ducks than the cryotes and sharks but like every win the ducks have is against a team that played the previous night against the kings. they say cali is the most brutal trip for east coast teams because of the 3 power house teams. its pretty funny how the ducks are always the last team to be played though.
**so did the Ducks play the Jets, Wild, Flames, Rangers, or Coyotes the next day after those teams played the Kings or Sharks? No, thats 5 out of 7 wins. Also the Ducks played the Flames and Coyotes before either the Kings or Sharks (not counting the Sharks 2nd game of the year because the Yotes went home after that and before they played the Ducks). I think the bigger reason for the west coast road trip being brutal is because of the travel, no all 3 teams being really good certainly doesnt help but still. Basically what Im saying is, while what you are saying can be true, its a minority and the Ducks win streak is not to be discredited because of that.
**You didn't get th Rangers on a back to back, but it was their third game in four nights (if I recall correctly). Texturrrrrre, we live 45 minutes north of Anaheim. They're going to occasionally get teams the night after we do, but it goes both ways. Welcome to the NHL. Some teams play the first game of a back to back, others play the second game.
**It switches off season to season buddy. last season the kings were getting the ducks sloppy seconds all year. Besides, there is no science behind saying a team plays worse on their second half of back to backs, especially if the team loses the night before, they are more likely to come out hard and pissed off.
**He was with Washington for what, five seasons? Why was he fired? His team did not produce in the post season. He's a great regular season coach, always has been. But he's not great in the post season. I don't think he was going to accomplish anymore in Washington than he already had done.
**His team did not produce in the post season because let's face it, with the old configuration the Capitals always made it to the playoffs even though they consistently had less points and worse records than the other teams who made it and they eventually ended up facing. But apparently no one from the management really cared about that. They had their star who sold jerseys, they had playoffs tickets and tv-rights to sell, so they didn't bother to improve.
