**Chiasson is the obvious hero again, but I really think Peverley made a HUGE difference depth-wise, he is bringing a sense of defensive responsibility that is just refreshing. This guy will be loved a lot by this team, and all my Bruins-loving friends told me so from Day 1. If we can tighten up on D and Kari keeps on Kari-ing on, I think we may surprise a few people.

**No hes not going to be a james neal type, not same skill sets at all, what chiasson does is go to the dirty areas and always driving the net.He is not flashy or anything likeen neal just hard work and puts pucks on net.He doesnt look like hes only played 9 nhl games The kid has a special touch out there which is crazy cuz hes never been a goal scorer at any level. Love the kids game and really think he can be a consistent 30 goal man in future. Stars have an awesome future ahead with all our young stud talent!

**Chiasson. Wow. All that kid knows how to do is SCORE. So much fun having him on the team. Happy about getting our first win of the season, hopefully the first of many! Go Stars.

**Love how the caps play in offence but we are in trouble this year. Defence is terrible. Let me repeat that. Terrible. Will not be able to match teams with quick movements and a little heart. But still exciting hockey to be watched.

**Everyone on this thread keeps on saying Ovechkin is on fire but just because he is scoring and leading the league in points doesn't really reflect his true performance. I know I'm going to get blasted with thumbs down but Watching him play last night was so frustrating, he turned the puck over on pretty much everyone of his even strength rushes and the coasting around with no intent is painful to watch. Caps are becoming a p.p. specialist team who don't seem to get much going in 5-5 hockey. They better work out how to score even strength goals by jan or it's go home time again in the first round when no one takes risky penalties . And as much as I love erskine I think it's time for him to get going, his foot speed is woeful, he looks like a big ol truck out there. I know it's a small sample size and it's 3 games in but the same problem seems to be recurring caps can't get the puck in deep and hold possession and that's not that easy to fix.

**Agreed with the Erskine comment, watching the Blackhawks game I thought the problem was the defense as a whole but it seems to be boiling down to Erskine as the common denominator as the younger guys get acclimated to the NHL. And the 5 on 5 stuff is frustrating, I'm just looking for more production on the 2nd and 3rd lines too we simply have no offense outside the PP.

**Ovechkin is on FIRE! Chiasson is on FIRE!!! Im seriously wondering about this Chiasson kid, not too many people can manage a ppg from the beginning of their careers, not to mention he is nearly goal per game. Are either of them gonna cool off?

**New look Stars! New style of play! Finally a real coach! And a GM that came from a great organazation and brings that mindset to this club. New division! Thank you Tom for doing what you said you would do and your commitment the future. AND ALSO MY NINE DOLLAR SEATS! FIRST TIME TO SEE OVI LIVE AND HE IS A BEAST. GREAT PLAYER TO WATCH PLAY!

**While the Caps notably have a few areas to work on (and an early 4 day break from games to do just that), Ovi is having the best start to a season he's had in probably 4 or 5 years. This is very good. He was scoring well in the preseason too. Normally he doesn't start firing at all cylinders until December/January... this reminds me of his 50+ and 65 goal seasons when he was really young and overly energetic lol. Now hopefully he continues this production as time moves forward!!
