Lightning rout Ducks to continue dominance of West
**Ducks have been feeding on low ranking teams not to mention 4 in a row against teams that played the day before,up until last night.Still a good team,we could use one of their small fast forwards, they got too many to go deep in the playoffs (last year) got to win those battles in the corners come spring. Tampa is the real deal no doubt. And what was Selanne doing in the corners !! His number is tatooed on the boards forever-hope he's OK.**Kings come from behind and pull off Victory without-Quick-Carter-Stoll-Greene and Clifford...... So its funny to here the Ducks fans say we need GETZLAF back or we had the flu.....SHUT_UP Tampa is the real deal and they are good.....
**The Ducks were missing Getzlaf, Koivu, Souray & Silfverberg, all starters. Plus the guys playing with the flu. No doubt Tampa is good but the Ducks were definitely not at the top of their game.
**we know Tampa is a great team but we're without Getzlaf, Koivu, Silfverberg, Beleskey and Souray. Perry, Hiller, Winnik and Palmieri with the flu
**Bahahahahhaaha funny coming from a fan whose team lost to Tampa when they had all their starters!! And you played the Islanders so get off your high horse Kings fan!! Come back when you play contender teams without your starters ;) I'll be the fan laughing her behind off !!
**Every aspect of a well rounded, smart team contributing. First round pick in Hedman, good free agent acquisition in Filppula, farm teamer in Killorn, and wily vet in St. Louis.
**So does the hockey world still think Tampa Bay's a one-man team? Guess this proves how dangerous a little motivation/chip on the shoulder can do for a team. Honestly though, Bolts still miss Stamkos. Just showing they're more than him.
**I saw it against the Kings and have seen it again with the Ducks, Tampa Bay sure lives up to their name: Lightning fast.
**This was painful to watch. We need Getzlaf badly! The flu didn't help as well. Bolts played a great full 60 min game and came up big. I can't wait for the game back home. GO DUCKS!
**The thing i don't understand about Tampa, is their record. The Bruins have owned them. Allowing Tampa to only score 1 goal in 3 games. But this team keeps destroying and beating everybody else. Is there something the Bruins have figured out against Tampa, if not is it Rask or the defense...I just don't understand it...Because other than the 3 games against the Bruins, Tampa only has 2 losses on this season.
**Birchall, Bruins very physical and defensive style added to Rask...they are good in the corners, our young players (Killorn, Johnson, Palat, Panik) are not really able to navigate around the net against the B's. My favorite B's player is Bergeron by the way!
**You mention 4 teams, 2 of them won the Stanley Cup, the others went to the Finals....and it all happened in the past 20 years, Caps failed but have been one of the most spectacular team to watch for years....
**Boy oh boy did Filppula play a good game with a perfect timing :) Jari Kurri(GM) and Westerlund(Head Coach) from Finnish olympic hockey team were watching this match in Tampa. Hopefully Filppula wll be healthy during the Olympics so he can play for us!
**Filppula was basically a lock before this game. Finland is not really a hockey powerhouse that could afford to keep Filppula frmo the team.. It's arguable that Filppula is the best Finnish center in the world actually
**Bolts have the best record in the league in the last ten games followed by the Hawks. They may not have the most points in the league, but their definitely the team to beat at the moment. Anyone who slays every Western Conference contender shouldnt be underestimated. I hope the Hawks figure out how to play defense and hold their leads before we face TB again.
**As Cooper said, the Ducks were definitely not at their best last night, but the Lightning played physical, got great goaltending and capitalized on their scoring chances. Filppula has been huge for us! GO BOLTS!
**Great to see Stevie Y's big plan coming together. Bolts finally have some depth, which is being spotlighted with the injury to Stammer. Depth, and Bishop, could make us a playoff team for years to come. Don't think we saw the best of the Ducks, tho, with Getzlaf et al out. Dunno if the Filppula deal was for "old time's sake" as a favor to Yzerman, but I'm thankful! Wounded Ducks aside, last night and the next few are real gut checks for the Lightning, who are stepping up. (Great to see positive comments from fans around the league... I'd like to believe Tampa fans would react similarly if the skate were on the other foot!)
**Filppula was big loss for Red Wings. Can't keep every1 w/ Salary Cap. Glad Tampa played very well w/out Stamkos. Keep it up Stevie Y and Lightening!
**Tampa is legit this year. What goals by Killorn and Filuppula's second. They proved how solid they are by smoking a tough contender in Anaheim. Gotta admit, I'm glad the bruins got their number this year lol also, a great win with the loss of Stamkos, really shows how much heart this team has winning a big game without one of the team's leaders. I really hope he recovers as quickly as possible. Nice game Tampa.
**The whole team didn't play good by any means, but Hiller is just flat out bad. He is always on his knees, he has 0 rebound control, and he is the only goalie in the league who could get screened by Martin St. Louis. If it is not a routine save, then it will be in the back of the net. There is not a single thing he does out there that Fasth, Andersen, or even Gibson at this stage in his career can't do better. Everybody says he brings experience to the table, but he doesn't exactly have winning experience. He is not at all worth a price tag of $4.5 million and I cannot wait until the day that he is no loner our starter.
