Krug scores early in OT, Bruins top Penguins
**That was an awesome game and probably one Sid will want to forget haha but at least the pens took it to overtime. They can't seem to get comeback goals anymore**Krug is a beast! Love this kid, looks to just be getting better and better each game! The Bruins are doing a great job in his development allowing him to play his own style of game which seems to fit in really well with the team.
**cant understand why people have penquins over bruins picked to win stanley. when bruins demolished penquins last playoffs how quickly we forget
**The Pens at this point are not Stanley cup contenders in my opinion, they arent even close.. they have to many holes in their game right now. Even if they do manage to fix the problems they have, MAF is still the big question mark going into the playoffs, he will be the reason if we do a deep playoff run or not.
**Refs need to make a call i watched Dougie Hamilton push D'agostini from behind because he chipped and chased and was gonna win a foot race. Thats BS if he is a little closer to the boards thats a very dangerous play. As well Jack Edwards is the most biased announcer in the league. The bruins hit someone from behind or in the head and hes yelling what a great hit it is. Then the other team gets a good clean hit and hes yelling for a penalty. I hope you get hit by a bus Edwards!
**we dont think much differently about your announcers, all the way through the playoffs last season it was YOUR announcer saying: great shot by crosby! in stead of good save by rask or it would be great save by fleury rather then good shot by chara....and if you dont like ur precious pens getting hit so much then maybe you should make a special request to the NHL for them not to play with the bruins anymore =)
**jim hughson was announcing the pens and bruins game. in last years playoff games he was probably wea ring a penquins jersy.
**Seriously?? When someone asks on the B's, at least he puts some oomph into the call. Pens announcers sound like someone kicked the puppy when the Pens are scored on... There were non-calls on both sides.
**It was not a penalty. It was not even possible to confuse that with a penalty. The Pitt player had the puck. Hamilton checked him with one hand. 2 hands is a crosscheck. Without the puck is interference. This was neither. There is no rule that says you are not allowed to push a player with the puck. Imagine foir a second if there was such a rule. Yes. Its bandy.
**The amount of ex-Dallas Stars who made an impact in this game is downright disgusting. Seriously, James Neal (2G, 1A), Loui Eriksson (1G, 2A), Reilly Smith (1G), Jussi Jokinen (2A) and Matt Niskanen (1A) all had a big part to play. Sigh.
**I am, particularly for Loui, who will always been one of my favorite players. But at the same time....look at all the talented players we've given up.
**thank you krug, definitely one of my favorite pickups coming into this season, so glad they decided to keep him at the NHL level
**It took awhile to digest that game last night, like a roller coaster ride it had a lot of highs and lows. We started off standing around too much. Tukkaa kept it a game. When we went ahead I began to feel assured but remembered the Ottawa game and that anything can happen. Up 2-0 it looked like we were just going through the motions then Neal capitalized twice on defensive gaps in our system... When Chara got the game winner I was hoping for another breakaway empty net goal when time was running out by Lucic . Crosby made sure that didn't happen. What 0.3 seconds left? I think I hit the ceiling when Marchand hit Krug with that pass and he roofed it ... excellent shot!!!
**I'm getting sick of Letang. He does the same thing over and over again- tries to enter the zone, fails, falls to the ice, yells at ref instead of back checking. He leads the team in giveaways despite missing 10 (TEN) games! When is Bylsma going to hold him accountable? This is getting ridiculous. The thing that makes me most upset is we should have traded him for something decent in return when he rejected the Pens initial offer of $7 M / year during the off-season. Anyways, rant over. Good game, Bruins. Very entertaining. Looking forward to our next meeting.
**I second that get rid of Letang he is constantly out of position and gambles with getting up in the play just to turn it over or shoot off a shin pad and have it turned the other way in a 3 on 1. Crosby needs to play Malkin and Neal right now because Dupuis isn't doing anything and it is just time to unite Crosby and Malkin and get some serious offence!
**Yep, my wife who is a pens fan has been pointing that out for a few years now. "We don't need a 4th forward, we need a defender" is her assessment of him. She also pointed out that the pens did better with him out at the beginning of the season. Big mistake to sign him to that huge contract.
**I give all the credit on the last goal to Kunitz more than Sid. Sid parked where he needed to but Kunitz kept hacking away at that puck after the first try failed and got it there just in time. A point is a point during the regular season. Would have loved to see the win, but I'll take a point out of a game that otherwise should have been a loss.
**Ja, he's not going to give you anything flashy. He's just kinda a beta-version of Bergeron. steady in his role, doesn't make too many mistakes. hope he turns it up late in the season and in the playoffs the way Bergeron does. Marchand was nosing his way through the dirty areas this game which was good to see, digging his way for the puck like a mole for a grub
**looks on paper bad, eriksson is a complete player like bergy not flashy. The kinda guys who get it done in the playoffs, when scoring hilite goals do not matter but getting it out of your end and checking the other teams stars to a standstill.
**I wish we would see a bit more grit from him. As for the playoffs, he has not seen much if any playoff action so we will have to wait and see if he can bring the heavy. As for Bergy's replacement.....no way. I am curious how the two Swedes would do with Bergy between them.
**pens should have won this game they had their chances and the referees were unfair they were favoring bruins but luckily crosby got his goal in time and tied it but then the referees were unfair again and bruins won in ot this isnt fair crosbys goal should have been winner because it was just in time its not a fair game skill does not matter anymore
**Be careful... You are starting to sound like Crosby. Explain How the refs were unfair? Each team was given a penalty. There were some non-calls on both sides from what I saw and, Crosby would most likely not get that goal had it been a 5 on 5 instead of 6 on 5 situation. I will agree that the Pens, overall, outplayed the B's for most of the game, but that's happened to Boston too this season. You got to learn two things... The game is won on results, not how much better one team played over another, and learn to type like an adult. You used unfair and not fair too many times as well as your post was one dragged on Christy Snow rabble...
**Bruins' market is not just Boston, it's RI, Mass, NH, Vermont, Maine and parts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. And you think NY is a bigger market with both the Rangers and Islanders there? Not to mention all the other teams' markets all so close together there.
**Hamilton's crosscheck on one of the Pens late in the game certainly looked like a penalty to me. I was surprised that was not called. I am sure there was missed call the other way also. Overall the refs were fair and let them play. That's all you can ask for.
**we can rip on letang but he is what he is an offensive deeman every team needs one. If you lose him you will wannna get one back. Bruins for too long had no threat on dee, now krug bartkowski and dougie has changed there game.
**lol yeah. And that cup of soda that the Pens fan dropped in Section 283 Row L Seat 13, which flowed down under the seats. cause dripping that fell through the stadium and onto the Zamboni, which cause the driver to sit in a drop of liquid, which the driver then felt seep through his cloths during the 2nd intermission, which caused him to miss 1sq in of ice. Which then that inch of ice caused Crosby to be 1 inch in the wrong position, which caused his stick to be 1 inch raised, which then the puck hit and went into his own goal.
