**Besides Stars fans not too many people around NHL realize how good Benn is. How come Datsyuk isn't top 3 in scoring race every year? He is an amazing player with tremendous skill. The guy is a human highlight reel.

**He's two-way forward, and he has very good stats for a guy who plays that amount of D, including even 5-on-3 PK! Interesting, how many Selke trophy winners have more than one point per game? I know only Yzerman.

**Eaves is sick. He just hasn't been able to play consistently for a while. 3 seasons ago Babcock thought the Miller - Helm - Eaves line was the best third line in the league. Anyways Nyquist will be up by the trade deadline when we have more roster space.

**Howard got beat 6 times last night. 4 in the net. 2 off pipes. That`s 8 he`s given up in 2 games. He gave up goals with seconds left in the second, third, and o.t. I know, they weren`t his fault. Never are. The Wings are undefeated in the games he didn`t play. Olympics? That`s a joke. So is Howard.

**Howard didn't get beat on the pipes ---- he had the angle covered that well that the shooter had nothing left to shoot at !!!!!

**we let them score not one, not two, but *three* separate goals in the final 30 seconds of a period. (well, 2 within 21 seconds of the horn and one with 1:10 left, but still...) come one guys, you have to close out these kinds of games!

**Lindy is awesome! All of us were pretty new to him and everything, and he's starting to prove the skeptics wrong. His patience is finally paying off. It's evident this guy has some experience in this league, and we are fans for a reason.

**Great comeback win by Dallas. The goal by Benn was a thing of beauty. Datsyuk put on a clinic too. Always does. Two huge points for dallas and they seem to be finding their game. Up next, Chicago!

**Well every streak ends at some point, but it's all about getting out of the slumps and getting those win streaks together. That's what good teams do. Detroit has been doing that for years and years. But yes, any team can win any given night. It makes every game that much more exciting.

**Agreed. That's what makes hockey so fun to watch, along with the skill and speed of the game, and just how good everyone is, from the goalies to the skaters, D and offensive players.

**Datsyuk makes these moves so easily and frequently that I'm beginning to not be impressed anymore. I'm more surprised when he doesn't make a smooth deke at this point. Best hands in the game.

**Yeah crazy! I dunno how all the other teams accomplish the same thing, i mean to think the starting goalie playing a majority of the games has the most losses on his team. That really is an interesting fact.

**I was asking the same question after Babcock yanked Gus out during a 3 game winning streak. Don't get me wrong, Howard is awesome but who does that?

Dont u guys see this from the highlights or are u just in need of a scapegoat? the ONLY goal Howard could have looked better at was the Benn goal but r u kiddin me? he takes a cakewalk through 2 zones? u know why monster was so great? yeah coz he showed some great reflexes but even more coz we were blocking plenty of shots when he was in net - simple as that. (liked his performance a lot btw) and pls remember the 1st period when Stars were out for couple breakaways. Who was there and denied their lead? let me think wasnt it........?? Im tired of the Howard bashing if he is not THE reason.

**And something very disturbing that has been repeated since the last few seasons is the facility of the opponents to establish in our deffensive zone without dump and chase. With a poor resistance in the deffensive zone and the 2-4 offensive lines playing bad, the situation is not promising. Any, I trust in Babcock. Go Wings!

**Thank God we got rid of Tootoo, not like we needed a tough guy or some grit against teams in East! And the defense looks, well, like the defense last year with the exception of Dekeyser, who isn't playing half as well as he did in the playoffs.Good to see Perverly doing well, solid player and a good guy.


**I think the defence has played terrible this year. Howard hasn't been at his best some games, but the defence has made so many mistakes in their end, too many giveaways and players like Kindl getting caught totally out of position. It seems that they aren't body checking, they are waving their stick at the opponents and getting beat every time. When there is a battle along the boards, the opponents are coming up the puck. 90% of the time.

**Dunno why you would single out Dekeyser he has been solid for us. He is a +/- 5 and then you got the rest of our defense... Quincy -8, Kindl -3, Smith -7. I have no idea where you get the defense looks well but dekeyser don't. Alquist a complete rookie, Lashoff not far off from that. Then theres the simple fact the our goalies are seeing 32-47 shots a night. I personally would love to see quincy and smith gone.
