Andersen helps Ducks defeat Senators, gets contract

**What a bunch of losers! Cant beat the West if they tried! Expect 2 more big losses coming up against the Hawks and the Sharks...... (One Frustrated Sens Fan)

**I thought the goalie interference call on Neil a bit cheap - but the penalty he got goaded into was just DUMB - but smart move by the Duck's player.

**Hiller is on the last year of his contract so there is the possibility of him being traded, or being extended and Fasth being traded if Hiller has a stellar season. If Fasth continues to play well I could see Hiller being traded (probably for a defense man) and it would be Fasth/Andersen until Fasth's 3 years are up and by then Gibson should be NHL ready and it would be Andersen/Gibson. Andersen could also be traded if a team is looking for a prospect goalie. Anyways, there is a good chance that the Ducks will trade a goalie this season since there are 5 goalies (Bobkov is still very good at the AHL level) and only 4 spots.

**Good job on the win and stellar play by Andersen. Hopefully he gets the nod again in Columbus on Sunday night. He played solid in relief of Hiller against the Stars and a full 60 min against the Sens last night. No need to rush Fasth back until he's at full health.

**Andersen was a really solid goalie in SEL along with Fasth. Smart move by Ducks to scout the SEL goalies that no other team seem to be interested in. In my opinion SEL has a few high level goalies.

**Hope we can get some high draftpicks soon for hiller or Fasth as soon as these two are on nhl level what they maybe already are but its difficult to tell.

**What a horrible game by Sens, the score does not reflect the game.5 straight minors one after the other,16 giveaways. A few flashes of competent team hockey.Besides Zibanejad and Anderson and Ryan the rest of the team was awful

**starters... relax dude, Andersen played 2 games and only started one and you are already labeling him a starter ? hahaha that's like saying Dwight King scored a hat trick yesterday, he's win the rocket with 150 goals this year.,.. ur way too excited... just saying..

**Instead of talking about which goalie is getting traded, why don't we watch all 3 and see how they do up until the deadline? I seriously doubt anybody will be getting dealt before the new year.. Hiller is amazing when he has his game face on, and so is Fasth. Andersen has only played a couple games but has definitely been sharp and could be a great #2. Gibson is going to be an all star too in another year or two. So much goaltending depth, there is no reason to rush this and make the wrong decision. Lets watch how it plays out :)

**So proud of Andersen. It is wonderful to see the surge of danish talent in the NHL after growing up in a country the hockey world wouldn't look at twice for years. Hoping he gets the start in Columbus. I will be there with a proud dane sign for him :)

**Hiller is still an excellent goalie who can decide games for the Ducks. The team had been inconsistent in the last game. The defenders used to sleep and the attackers had no power. Did you count the one-on-ones, Hiller could win in the last game? This game, the team played somewhat more concentrated but could still do better.

**Andersen just signed a two-year one-way contract. Fasth is signed through next year. Yes Andersen is on a two-way deal this year, but are they intending on keeping Hiller around when it seems as though the writing is on the wall that he is gone after this year? He's a UFA after this season.

**Unless Hiller posts ridiculous good numbers, AND wins us a playoff series or three, I think he's gone for sure. Even then, probably still gone. And it's nothing on him, he's a good goalie, it's just what you're saying- we have a lot of good goalies on contract, and Hiller's fatter contract is coming to an end.

**Barely came out of that with a W, I believe we outplayed the Sens but lets get real. The power play is a gigantic problem right now and needs to be fixed ASAP. It is a game changer when you can put a power play goal or two into the net every night. 3 PPG in 11 games and a million attempts is disgusting. Cmon Ducks lets fix it!

**I think we out-played the Sens, but I was really frustrated seeing our guys choke on some really good scoring chances. If we were playing our A game, we could have netted 4 or 5 given those power plays and the 5-on-5 chances. Fortunately the Sens were playing their C or D game, so we didn't need to be our best to win. Gotta step it up against Columbus, though, for sure.

**We don't have a lot of centers, we've been weak there for years. Right now we have Getz Perrault Saku and Bonino. In AHL we have Holland and Rakell both of which in my opinion need more time to grow before coming to the NHL. Koivu is likely to retire after this season, and if one of our guys gets injured I'd like to have a solid depth veteran we can count on to do the job.

**I don't think a goaltending trade will be imminent until the last couple days of trade deadline. Right now it is hard to definitively say who are first, second and third goalie are. Hiller is inconsistent, but I see him tearing it up come the Olympics for the swiss. Regardless of who we trade the goal should be to have our goalies splitting time between the pipes. It has worked great over the years whether it was Giggy, Hiller, Fasth, Brysgalov, Emery, whatever.
